Emu Poin is bounded in the north-east by Oyster Harbour, to the east and south-east by King George Sound, to the north by Yakamia Creek and in the west by Lower King Road. The suburb is named after the beach and park found within its boundaries.
Emu Point beach is one of Albany most popular beachs and consists of a grassy sheltered lawn areas ideal for picnics, calm shallow waters to wade in and clear calm waters for safe swimming. Emu Point beach is also popular for fishing and boating. Popular Emu Point beach was declared Western Australia’s cleanest beach in 2011. You can enjoy watching the fisherman come in with their catch and feed the pelicans.
